LaSalle Network is hiring a midlevel Data Scientist to support one of our leading retail clients in developing next-generation personalization and recommendation systems. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about AI innovation and eager to deliver real business impact through data-driven insights.

What’s the job?

• Build, test, and deploy recommendation, personalization, and predictive models across digital platforms

• Develop scalable, end-to-end ML pipelines—from data prep and feature engineering to production inference

• Utilize Transformers, embeddings, and semantic search techniques to improve model performance

• Experiment with generative AI and RAG solutions to enhance search and personalization features

• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers to operationalize and monitor ML systems

• Define success metrics, run A/B experiments, and translate findings into actionable strategies

What’s needed?

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Databricks

• Strong experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face libraries

• Proven background in recommendation systems or customer personalization

• Familiarity with A/B testing, model observability, and MLOps best practices

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
